Miguela Marie Chervenak wurde in Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA geboren.
Umziehen wurde für sie schon als Kind zur Gewohnheit, zog sie doch mehrere Male in Deutschland und den USA um. Auch als Erwachsene blieb sie dem Wanderleben treu, lebte in Atlanta, USA und nach ihrer Rückkehr nach Europa u.a.in Köln, Düsseldorf und Luxembourg.
Sie arbeitete als Sprecherin für den WDR in Köln und für RTL in Luxemburg.
Mit 18 Jahren hatte sie ihr Weg nach London geführt, wo sie nach dem Schulabschluss das Studium der Innenarchitektur aufnahm und mit Cum Laude bestand. Daneben besuchte sie Seminare und Workshops in Malerei, setzte sich mit der Farbenlehre auseinander, lernte verschiedene Techniken und Materialien kennen. Eine wichtige Etappe für ihre Entwicklung war ein Praktikum bei dem Künstler Richard Gillan und eineinhalb Jahre Bildhauerei bei Malcolm Woodward, Assistent von Henry Moore im Camden Arts Centre. Dort belegte sie ebenfalls Kurse im Aktzeichnen, freier Malerei und freiem Zeichnen in Tusche und Kohle.
Seit dieser Zeit ist Miguela Marie Chervenak als freischaffende Künstlerin tätig und zeigt seit der Jahrtausendwende ihre Kunst regelmäßig in Ausstellungen.
Miguela Marie Chervenak was born in Lincoln Park in Michigan, USA.
Even as a child, moving became something of a habit to her, and she has upped sticks several times both within Germany and the USA. As an adult, too, she has remained true to the itinerant life – living in Atlanta, USA, and then, following her return to Europe, in Cologne, Düsseldorf and Luxembourg, to name but a few examples.
She worked as a broadcaster for the public broadcasting company WDR in Cologne and for the television channel RTL in Luxembourg.
At the age of 18, she made her way to London, where – after finishing her A-Levels– she studied Interior Design and graduated cum laude. Alongside her studies, she attended painting seminars and workshops, came to grips with color theory, and learned about various techniques and materials. An internship with artist Richard Gillan was an important stage in her development. She completed her training at the Camden Art Centre in London, where she studied sculpting for one-and-a-half years under Malcolm Woodward, assistant to Henry Moore, in addition to attending nude drawing courses, painting and courses on free drawing with ink and coal.
Since then, Miguela Marie Chervenak has been working as a freelance artist, and from the turn of the millennium onward has regularly showcased her work in exhibitions.
